Publications:  Members receive local and state email newsletters and theAmerican Music Teacher magazine.  PMTA state newsletters, For the Record, and handbook are available online at www.pamusicteachers.org.

National Certification Program:  MTNA administers a certification program designed to provide a public recognition of accomplished music teachers.  Details of the program are available through MTNA at www.mtna.org

Teacher Opportunities

An invisible, but priceless benefit of PMTA is networking. Networking is always working for the members and can be the force that helps teachers who wish to change from hourly paid jobs to independent, full time music instructors. 

Networking is a connection from members to churches and schools looking for accompanists.  Networking is the assistant for new teachers establishing a studio in our area.  Networking is teachers consulting teachers for problem solving within the studio.  In addition, PMTA-WC offers:
